Pasture Walk at Adams Family Farm in Red Oak, VA.
October 20, 2020 @ 4:00 pm - 6:30 pm
Join us for a late afternoon pasture walk on the Adams Family Farm in Red Oak, VA, on October 20, 2020 from 4:00 – 6:30 pm. Rain date is October 22nd. Miller and his family have used conservation programs to develop a grazing system, buffer ponds, complete weed and brush control and convert some pastures to novel endophyte fescue.
Hear directly from Miller about his success with the fescue conversion, evaluate a stand planted in 2019 and grazed multiple times this season and look at the next newly seeded paddock this fall. Hear how he has developed a moderate framed cattle herd with excellent genetics as he shares on farm performance data. There will be a lot to see and talk about so we look forward to your participation. Please register online today so we can plan for your attendance!
Arrive and register at 4:00 pm with the program promptly starting at 4:30 PM and ending at 6:30 PM. Dinner will NOT be provided due to the complexities of the COVID-19 pandemic but lite, pre-packaged snacks and drinks will be available for pre-registered attendees.
