Tazewell Forage Field Meeting October 30th!
Join us in Tazewell County on October 30th at a forage field meeting and grazing demonstration to learn more about using multi-purpose forage crops for extending the grazing season and building soil health. Ten acres were seeded to 5 different annual forage mixtures in late August. 2019 Kentland Farm Beef and Forage Day

Forage finished beef is of growing consumer and producer interest. Opportunities to direct market a higher value product appeals to producers. Healthier meat from animals raised on pasture appeals to consumers, and the ability to improve environmental outcomes appeals to both. Pasture Walk at Adams Family Farm in Red Oak, VA.

Holsinger Field Day

Virginia Forage and Grassland Council Forage Tour in Middletown, VA
This tour features a large cow-calf operation that has made dramatic improvements in the quality and length of their grazing season through grazing management as well as conversion of toxic fescue to novel fescue--all on rented ground.
