Cover Crop Grazing Workshop
April 18 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Dr. Allen Williams will lead a morning indoor session to review profitable and practical application of the six principles of soil health and how adaptive stewardship impacts production, conservation of natural resources and profitability. After a buffet lunch at Pepper’s Grill, we will travel a short 10-minute drive to Auburn Farm to engage in group field exercises to apply how soil health observations and cover crops can improve your operations resilience and profitability. Also, local attorney Mark Botkin will do a presentation on the legal considerations of cropland boundary fences and grazing agreements when grazing cover crops.
This hands-on interactive field days will cover adaptive cover cropping, cover crop grazing, and how soil health principles and adaptive stewardship can help farmers and graziers address real-life problems.
